They Say Patience is a Virtue…

“What could fit better with Hope The Breakfast Church than a food truck ministry”, asks Pastor Chet Berry. The board of HTBC submitted a request for a $30,000 grant from the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The funds obtained through the “Dream Incentive Grant” would be matched through an effort of the local church in order to purchase a used food truck. “The business model that we created is as unique as the purchase and operation of a food truck is to the church”, states Berry. The plan emphasizes the creation of profit through weekdays, thus meeting operating expenses and providing income for HTBC ministry residents. Weekday profits would then enable the church to offer “give-aways” of food at ministry events.

Applicants for grant funds are to hear of approval or disapproval by December 15. Berry is anticipating a positive email.
